  Lovely place right on the water. Very quiet and peaceful in Oct. Bad reception (unless you have telstra) and miniscule amount of WiFi, I think they gave you a daily 200mb limit, if you could get it to work. A minute walk down to the pub and plenty of wonderful cafes around. Very happy with our stay there.

  The view is lovely with quiet surroundings, however, my second and third night was very unpleasant due to lots of disturbance from other visitors who stayed upstairs - I heard the unpleasant noises they produced at late hours, it was truly unpleasant, I have never experienced this kind of thing in all of the 4 stars hotels I've stayed at. I think the hotel need the noise insulation especially for the ground floor rooms. There were not much happening in the village if you stay at the beginning of the week as most places are opens on Wednesdays so you will have to travel to Lakes Entrance which has more things happening.

  What a wonderful place to stay, this is our second time at The Moorings and we have nothing but compliments. The rooms are spacious, bright and have everything you need. What stands out most are the friendly staff and also the rooms are spotlessly clean! We try to stay in one of the units overlooking the boardwalk and water, what a pleasant way to start the day with that view! Such an easy stroll to the shops and hotel. We are always sad to leave. One thing that could be added, just a thought, is a coffee machine in the room, a nice touch that would be for us coffee drinkers. We actually took our own but it would be a nice addition. We shall see you next year for sure.

  I enjoyed our visit the setting is lovely, the staff professional. We had a great time and will go back.
